DIY 3D Snowflake

This elegant snowflake decor can be used for the holidays, or even the whole winter. You can hang it on a door, or even from a ceiling. It is super light, and each piece doesn’t have to be uniform because they will all be squished together in the end. You can also do this with colored paper, to make a flower for spring, or make a mini one with origami paper for a gift or a toy.

  1. Take a piece of square paper. Fold it into a triangle. Fold that triangle in half. Then cut 3 slits in it, starting on the side with the fold, so it looks like this:

  2. Next, unfold it. Now it should look like this:

  3. Then, pull the two center folds together and tape them:

  4. Now flip it and tape the next two inner folds together:

  5. Repeat the folding, making sure to turn it every time, and it should look like this:

  6. Repeat steps 1-5 until you have six to ten of those, depending on how full you want it to be(we used ten):

  7. Staple the individual pieces together, and you are done!
