Need a last minute fathers day present? We got you, with ideas for both experiences and treats!
Treats!
1. Give your dad a little extra comfort by serving him breakfast in bed! This is also great for other holidays like Mother’s Day or birthdays!
2. Make a card and put real love into it. They appreciate the homemade stuff!
3. Get him a tie! For bonus points, bring him to dinner that night so he gets a chance to wear it!
Experiences!
1. If your parents, husband, uncle, or grandpa likes wine you can take them to a winery. Here are some wineries to go to:
If there aren’t any kids with you, check out Jamesport Vineyard. There is seating both indoors and outdoors. You can also order food. They have “Neapolitan-ish” pizza and small plates.
If you do have children, you can go to The Lenz Winery. They currently only have outdoor seating. Although they don’t serve food, their wine pairs well with food and they serve awesome chocolates! They offer a large variety of wines.
If you are looking for somewhere that is family-friendly, check out Leab! They have wine and food! The food includes fish and cheese plates. And if you love ice cream, check out Magic Fountain.
2. If you want to get outside, you can go to the Botanical Gardens! There are a lot of cool exhibits, such as the Yayoi Kusama exhibit - (If you don’t know who Yayoi Kusama is, she is an artist and all of her art pieces are so cool because a lot of them relate to dots!) There is also a lot of other fun stuff to do there.
3. If your father, husband, uncle, or grandpa loves the beach, then you can go there because right now it is perfect beach weather. The beach is the best in the middle of June! You can walk on the boardwalk, get food, ice cream, surf, bury him in the sand, and do so much more!
